Wonderfully deep and satisfying

All the reviews are spot on, one of the best games of all time in any genre

Well crafted game

The resource management of this game is simply brilliant. Death after death, you learn. As I was making my final runs for a "food refused" showed me that you can get very good at this game. I have not felt this accomplished mastering a game since Dark Souls. This game is frustrating at first with cheap deaths and just feeling lost, but stick with it. This game will not hold you hand, and you will say thank you when its over.

Almost Impossible to Beat

This "prequel" to the Dark Room is only $0.99, and its certainly worth that. But it is likely to leave you very frustrated and annoyed. I finally said "enough" and stopped playing it. I dont know if I can recommend it or not. If you buy it, be prepared to be very, VERY frustrated. I highly recommend Dark Room. This game. Not so much. Its really difficult. At least you have been warned.

Simply put, amazing

To those who played The Dark Room this is a great addition with close to the same elements on the dusty path except much much more difficult. Worth the .99ยข and will leave you with such a feeling you hadnt experienced before.

Mindblowing on so many levels

I cannot explain in words how much I love this game. It will make you feel so many emotions because of its brutal story, amazing gameplay, and the decisions you make. However, if you havent played A Dark Room, do NOT play this game. Play a dark room first, otherwise you will not get the full experience. This game is hard at first, and you will be frustrated. Sometimes you have to die to progress into the game. The game even mocks you sometimes when you die. My favorite and most aggravating was when I was killed by a sniper. I had gotten pretty far, and by my foolishness I went too far from the center and encountered a sniper. He killed me and I had to start over. As I was passing through the introduction, the screen turned black and a single word in red appeared. headshot. I smiled and wanted to smash my phone against the wall. So to finish this up, the game is well worth the 99 cents. I would pay $10 for this game because I love it so much. The story is so rich, brutal, and sad. It makes you question who to trust and which side you really should be on. And I just love it.

Fun and challenging, but broken too

I really enjoy this game and how difficult it is. I do have a problem with it requiring you to die. Yes, defectors are very hard early on but I challenged myself to be strong enough to kill them endlessly without dying. They literally hit me with every step and cant kill me (Ive killed 40 in a row) but the game doesnt let me access landmarks until I let them kill me so I cant continue. Even the swamp turns grey. If you require death, then make defectors one shot you by the 5th one instead of how its currently set where I have to just watch it kill me.

Pointless.

The game is clever, but I found myself just not caring to finish after a while. There is absolutely nothing to keep you interested. It is nowhere near as good as ADR. It also randomly crashed and lost my progress, which really was the final straw. Silly quotes about "never giving up" and "casual gamers" arent enough to make me invest more time into this "experiment". Save yourself the wasted time and spend it with your family, wife, kids, etc. Life is too short for "idealist" nonsense like this game.

DO NOT QUIT

1. If you havent played A Dark Room download it. 2. Play it. 3. Beat it. 4. Download this. 5. Play this. 6. Beat this. 7. Cry because you have to wait for another game.

Love it

Cant decide if this or the first one is better

5/5, amazing prequel.

Amazing game, and one of the greatest stories and ways of presenting a narrative I have ever seen.

Awesome... Just awesome

This game will ruin your life for a solid 3-5 days

Second Best Game

This is the second best game on the iPhone. It is only second best because A Dark Room, still holds a special place in my heart. Everyone should play this. Its worth the price!!

Amazing game. Would like save option

I love this game, but when I close the app and reopen, it usually doesnt save my progress and Im set back further in the game. Would be nice to have a save option.

Inferior to Dark Room

Interesting premise but frustrating in its ridiculousness. Get killed over and over again.
