Beautiful, Beautiful Game

I loved A Dark Room because it did everything right in the way it told its story - that game was a flawless example of how to use game mechanics to develop a world and tell a compelling story.
The Ensign is no different; in fact, it is almost more compelling than A Dark Room because you can feel how much care and love went into its creation. Excellent from both a story and gameplay perspective (plus its a game that rewards completionists!). Definitely a must-play.
